Ever wondered what it takes to build a neighborhood that’s entirely self-sufficient, community-driven, and Earthship-inspired? Join us for a guided tour of Vereniging Aardehuis, an ecological neighborhood where sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a way of life. As is written on their website:

On this excursion, a group of 20 students will explore the Aardehuis village through a 1.5-hour guided tour focused on the 🏗️hands-on construction of the Earthship-inspired houses 🏘!

We will also have the opportunity to learn and ask about:

☀️ Strategic solar design & salt battery systems

💧 Groundwater filtration & drinking water pumps

👫 And the community-building process behind it all

After the tour, we’ll head back to the cozy common house for some coffee/tea and chill time with a tasty surprise waiting. And if you still have energy we’ll check out the ‘tiny house village’ next door.
